Liqui Moly Team Engstler’s Martin Andersen bagged a second straight pole in Sunday morning’s qualifying session for the second ADAC TCR Germany race at Oschersleben.
The Dane lapped the circuit in 1 minute 30.800 seconds in his Honda to comfortably secure the prime position by over four tenths of a second ahead of Lithuanian Jonas Karklys in his Hyundai i30.
René Kircher was the best-placed ROJA Motorsport driver in third, three tenths further back from his Hyundai rival.
Andersen’s Polish team-mate Szymon Ładniak was fourth fastest, the only other to be within a second of the pace.
Albert Legutko put his older generation Honda in fifth, ahead of Team Engstler’s veteran Roland Hertner in sixth.
Completing the top ten were the Hyundai of Patrick Sing, the Hodlen Astra of Vincent Radermecker, the new-spec Audi of Max Gruhn and the Hyundai Veloster of Robin Jahr.
Saturday’s race one winner Jessica Bäckman failed to post a lap time after technical issues with her ROJA Hyundai Veloster and will start from 13th and last on the grid.
Race two is scheduled to get underway at 16:05 CEST (15:05 BST).
