Halder Motorsport has confirmed it will return to TCR Europe in 2022, fielding three cars in the series in which it was a title contender in 2020.
The team will field cars for brother and sister pairing Mike and Michelle Halder, who both raced in TCR Spain in 2021.
The German duo previously competed in TCR Europe in 2020, when they made a last-minute switch from the TCR Germany series due to disagreements over sporting penalties.
Mike was a title contender up until the 2020 season finale in Jarama, ultimately ending up fourth overall in the drivers’ standings with two wins to his name.
Last year, Mike Halder won the inaugural TCR Spain series with eight victories, whilst Michelle was third overall with two wins, both drivers using Honda Civic Type-R cars.
Mike Halder has already announced that he will also race in TCR Denmark in 2022 with TPR Motorsport, although there is one calendar clash between the two series.
“We are delighted to announce that Halder Motorsport will compete with three race cars in the highly competitive environment of TCR Europe,” said the team on social media.
“We are restless for more race victories and championship titles.”
The identity of the team’s third driver will be revealed in due course.
