Santiago Urrutia will return to TCR South America for the final two events of the year in Argentina, where he will return to PMO Motorsport to race a Lynk & Co 03 TCR once again.
Urrutia joined the team for its first appearance in the championship at Rivera in Uruguay in September, when the 25-year-old memorably claimed victory in his first-ever race on home soil.
Having finished race two in tenth, Urrutia then returned to Europe to focus on his campaign with Cyan Racing in the FIA World Touring Car Cup.
With the WTCR season concluded, Urrutia will now return to South America to see out the season, with Argentine Fabricio Pezzini announced as his team-mate.
Pezzini had only made his début last time out in the endurance race at Buenos Aires, when he raced one of the team’s two Lynk & Co cars with Ernesto Bessone as co-driver.
Bessone will remain in the series, racing a Peugeot 308 TCR to also be run by PMO.
Urrutia will be on track with PMO this weekend, when the series takes to the Autódromo Oscar Cabalén in Córdoba for two more races.
