The TCR Australia field is set to expand to 22 cars for next weekend’s third event of the year at Bathurst, with Garth Tander and Liam McAdam re-joining the grid, whilst newcomer Duvashen Padayachee will make his début.
The expanded grid will be part of the historic first Bathurst 6-Hour event for TCR Australia at the famous Mount Panorama circuit.
Tander and McAdam will both race Audi RS3 LMS cars, with Tander getting behind the wheel of the same car which he qualified on pole position for the TCR Asia Pacific Cup last year, before the event was called off.
In the inaugural TCR Australia season in 2019, Tander took part in nine races, including claiming a victory at The Bend Motorsport Park.
McAdam joined the 2019 season half-way through the year, racing an Audi for Melbourne Performance Centre with a best result of sixth at Sandown.
HMO Customer Racing will also field an extra car, with Carrera Cup regular Duvashen Padayachee lining up in a third Hyundai i30 N TCR, marking the first time the team has expanded to three cars.
Padayachee will join regular drivers Nathan Morcom and Josh Buchan on the grid.
