The 2021 TCR Asia and 2021 TCR China calendars have been published, with the two series sharing race weekends for the first three events of each six-event campaign respectively.
TCR Asia will join forces with TCR China for a second successive year, although only for the first half of the calendar, subject to confirmation of events.
The seasons for both series’ get underway at the Shanghai International Circuit on 7 – 9 May, before moving on to Zhejiang on 18 – 20 June and the final shared event in China at Jiangsu on 2 – 4 July.
The two series’ calendars then diverge, with TCR Asia moving to its spiritual home of the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia for two events, on 13 – 15 August and 176 – 19 September respectively.
TCR Asia will then conclude on the famous Circuito da Guia street circuit in Macau in November.
TCR China, meanwhile, moves to the Zhuzhou International Circuit on 27 – 29 August, before returning to Shanghai on 10 – 12 September and concluding at the Zhuzhou circuit again on 5 – 7 November.
Both series will run with the concept of ‘strictly preventing the epidemic and safely running the games’ in the context of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Both series have committed to maintaining the “highest national epidemic prevention standards”.
