Brazilian Guilherme Salas will race the Renault Mégane RS for Vuković Motorsport in the season finale of the TCR Europe series at Monza next weekend.
The car was previously raced by John Filippi in the first eight races of 2019, before the team skipped the event at Oschersleben and then handed driving duties over to Jack Young for the races in Barcelona last month.
Young immediately impressed in both races, with the Northern Irishman taking the car to two fourth place finishes and securing its best results in the TCR Europe series.
Whilst inexperienced in TCR, Salas has plenty of experience racing touring cars in South America, where he is a former national champion in the Brazilian Stock Light Championship and a race winner and title contender in the Copa Petrobras de Marcas.
“I’m very happy and grateful for having received the invitation to race in the TCR Europe series,” said Salas. “It is a fantastic category and I was already looking forward to join it sometimes.
“I hope to do a good job for Vuković Motorsport and Renault Sport at Monza.”
