The first entries for the new Touring Car Cup, part of the FIA Motorsport Games, have been revealed, featuring 11 drivers from different countries in Europe and Asia.
Eight European nations, Belgium, Czechia, Germany, Hungary, Lithuania, Russia, Spain and the United Kingdom, have confirmed entries, whilst Asian nations will be represented by China, Hong Kong and New Zealand.
At least six different models of TCR will be represented, with cars from Audi, MG, Honda, Hyundai, Peugeot and Volkswagen on the grid.
Amongst the leading entries are TCR Europe race winners Gilles Magnus and Luca Engstler, whilst British Touring Car Championship title contender Rory Butcher also features, in an MG6 alongside Hong Kong’s Zhen Dong Zhang.
Also featuring are TCR Russia race-winner Klim Gavrilov, TCR eastern Europe race winner Dušan Kouřil Jr, and touring car endurance race winner Gonzalo Martin de Andres from Spain.
Other entries include Lithuania’s Julius Adomavičius and Hong Kong’s Jim Ka To. Hungary and New Zealand have submitted entries but have yet to confirm their drivers, with the selection process being finalised by the National Sporting Authorities.
The new MG6 is subject to homologation before the event.
The Touring Car Cup will be one of six disciplines featured at the FIA Motorsport Games, joining the GT Cup, Formula 4 Cup, Drifting Cup, Karting Slalom Cup and Digital Cup at the 1-3 November event.
