Dan Lloyd will once again act as the official test driver for the TCR Balance of Performance [BoP] tests in Valencia next week, where he will sample five new models which are yet to be certified by WSC.
Lloyd, the reigning TCR UK champion, will sample the cars at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Spain next week. He previously acted as the official TCR BoP test driver in 2018.
The new TCR cars which are to have their performance assessed are the Lynk & Co 03, Renault Mégane, Hyundai Veloster N, LADA Vesta Sport and Alfa Romeo Giulietta Veloce.
In addition, an already certified car will be present at the test as a reference vehicle.
“I’m really looking forward to working with TCR again this year in Valencia,” said Lloyd, who also raced in the TCR International Series in 2017 with Craft-Bamboo Racing.
“Last year’s BoP test was a great success, so to be asked back to do the job again is a huge privilege.
“I had an incredible season in the TCR UK last year; winning the first-ever title was great. It’s lead to some really exciting discussions.
“However, I’m still actively looking for a drive for 2019. Hopefully the BoP test will open up some new opportunities for this season.”
