Darelle Wilson will not take part in this weekend’s TCR UK event at Oulton Park, as DW Racing elect to skip the meeting to ‘investigate an ongoing issue’ with their Vauxhall Astra TCR.
Wilson failed to take part in either of the last two races at Castle Combe after an accident in qualifying for the event.
The 29-year-old will now not race in this weekend’s meeting either, as the team continue to struggle to find the cause of their lack of pace in the TCR UK series.
“TCR UK Team DW Racing have decided not to compete at this weekend’s race at Oulton Park,” said Team Principal Les Latham on Facebook. “The difficult decision has been made to give the team time to investigate an ongoing issue with finding the root of a problem that the Astra has with getting the best out of the UK-spec Yokohoma tyres.
“Also, the crash at Castle Combe and subsequent retirement meant that the team where denied the opportunity to test new parts that had been sent from Germany.
“Darelle Wilson will be back for the next round of the series at Croft.”
