Pyro Motorsport’s Ollie Taylor is now confirmed as the winner of the opening TCR UK race at Castle Combe, after standings leader Dan Lloyd was handed a one-second penalty for his forceful move on the final lap.
Taylor led the way from pole while Lloyd got off to a poor start and dropped to fourth. He recovered to second and reduced the gap to Taylor in the closing stages.
On the final lap Lloyd lunged down the inside into Quarry Corner and the pair made contact before the former made the move stick into The Esses.
The penalty means Lloyd finishes second, while Taylor has now ended Lloyd’s winning streak to take his first TCR UK victory.
