Both Dušan Borković and Josh Files have been handed three-place grid penalties for the next round of TCR Europe at Assen, after contact in the reverse-grid race at the Hungaroring.
Borković, who currently sits just one point adrift of championship leader Mikel Azcona, was penalised for hitting the back of Files’ Honda at turn 12, causing enough front-end damage to his Hyundai to force him to retire.
Meanwhile Files received the three-place grid drop for pushing Julien Briché’s Peugeot wide and overtaking him at the penultimate corner later in the race.

Files progressed up the championship rankings this weekend in Budapest, and now sits fourth on 68 points.
