Slovakian racer Martin Ryba will join the TCR Europe grid for the second meeting at Zandvoort this weekend, racing a Volkswagen Golf GTi run by the Brutal Fish Racing Team.
Ryba has already tasted TCR when he competed in the 2018 TCR Middle East series in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Bahrain earlier in the year.
In those events, Ryba typically finished at the rear of the ten-car field, ending up ninth overall in the points standings out of 14 total entrants.
He revealed his plans to enter TCR Europe back in March, planning to contest four or five events in the coming season.
“Our team is a new member of the TCR family, so we are really very excited to join the new TCR Europe Series for a minimum of four/five events,” said Ryba at the time.
“We have already taken part in the TCR Middle East and this was a great experience for all of us. This will be our first season in TCR and our focus will be on gaining as much experience as possible.”
He has also competed in the Endurance class of the FIA Central European Zone series, taking class victory at the Hungaroring in the 60-minute race.
