Racing One will continue to field Maurits Sandberg in the 2018 ADAC TCR Germany series, with the Dutchman remaining at the team alongside Niels Langeveld in the team’s Audi RS3 LMS cars.
44-year-old Sandberg completed six of the seven TCR Germany rounds with the team in 2017, taking a best finish of 11th at his home round at Zandvoort.
The team from Andernach will continue to run the two drivers in 2018, having on Saturday also announced that Langeveld will stay with the outfit.
“The ADAC TCR Germany series is currently one of the most interesting touring car championships in Europe,” said Team Principal Martin Kohlhaas. “With Niels we have a rider who is not only capable of podium finishes, but also the championship title.
“He works hard on himself as a rider and tries to improve from one race weekend to the next, so this motivation to get the most out of himself and the team is a perfect match for Racing One.
“Because we worked so good together last year Niels will not only be a driver of the team but also a member because he will work for us during the GT4 series as a team manager.
“Maurits will also drive with us in 2018. He is a driver with potential and works very hard to improve himself every race weekend. This is a good match in our team because we really like to help people to improve and to get the best out of themselves.’’
