Danish racer Jens Reno Møller will take part in the full TCR Europe series season in 2018, entering a brand new Honda Civic Type R TCR with support from Honda and JAS Motorsport.
The 47-year-old took part in all of the European rounds of the TCR International Series in 2017, which would have earned him entry into the end-of-season TCR Europe Trophy, which was a single event held at the Adria International Raceway.
In the end Møller did not take part, but with the TCR International Series not running in 2018 and the WTCR grid full, he will focus instead on the TCR Europe Series which is a seven-event series for the first time.
“I hope to step up this year,” said Møller, who scored a podium finish at the Hungaroring last year. “2017 was my learning season in TCR and after having been able to claim my first podium, I expect to be in the first part of the field this year.
“I will be aiming for a top-five result in the championship. But it looks like it is going to be tough, as the level will be pretty much the same as last year in TCR International.
“We will also make an effort to upgrade the team’s presence as we have a new main sponsor – ‘Blend’ a Danish clothing Company for youngsters – and they will follow me in some event with their Tour Bus to make promotion.
“I am really looking forward to the new season and I know that I will have fun and enjoy the close races.”
Møller will receive his new car next Thursday and will immediately take it to Monza to carry out a first test.
