Brutal Fish Racing will run a single-entry outfit in this years TCR Europe Series, with Martin Ryba set to pilot the team’s Volkswagen Golf GTI.
The news follows an appearance in the TCR Middle East Series, where Ryba and the Slovakia-based outfit secured ninth overall in the standings.
Initially, the team expects to be present at a minimum of four or five events, with seven currently scheduled to take place beginning at Circuit Paul Ricard on 04-05 May.
“Our team is a new member of the TCR family, so we are really very excited to join the new TCR Europe Series for a minimum of four/five events,” commented Ryba.
“We have already taken part in the TCR Middle East and this was a great experience for all of us. This will be our first season in TCR and our focus will be on gaining as much experience as possible.
Ryba also admitted the move represents an upward trajectory for his outfit in terms of competition, and as such the focus is on consistency and running as high as possible.
“This is going to be a big step forward for me, to join all the big names that have already announced their participation,” he said.
“Our team hopes to have a great time and lots of fun. As the level of the competition is high, I hope to be able to run in the middle of the field and finish every race.”
