Scottish racer Finlay Crocker will enter the new TCR UK series in 2018, after VFR Racing acquired a new-specification Honda Civic Type R TCR from JAS Motorsport for the campaign.
Over the past two seasons Crocker has taken part in select races in both the ADAC TCR Germany series and TCR Italy.
Now VFR Racing have sold their older-spec Civic to replace it with the new-for-2018 model, with TCR UK being the target for the team in the first year of the new series.
The 48-year-old secured a best finish of fourth overall in TCR Italy in 2017, whilst his best result in TCR Germany the year previously was sixth.
Ex-SEAT León Eurocup racer Crocker may also take the Honda to other national TCR Series races in 2018 on weekends where there are no clashes with the TCR UK schedule.
Crocker will be supported by Fleetmatics once again in the coming season.
