The livery for Ma Qing Hua’s one-off World Touring Car Championship return in Macau has been revealed, with the former factory driver getting a special Chinese flag colour scheme for his Citroën C-Elysée.
Ma, who is a two-time racer winner in the WTCC, is returning to the WTCC later this month in a fourth Sébastien Loeb Racing car, having made his last appearance in touring cars in 2015.
The Chinese racer is looking forward to his return on the streets of Macau, where he secured a best result of eighth in his maiden WTCC season in 2014.
“I’m very positive about this opportunity and really pleased to come back to this championship,” said Shanghai’s Ma. “Macau is a legendary place, an amazing city and I really appreciate the chance to do it again this year.
“It will take a little while for sure to get back into the rhythm but it should be fine and I still have a strong memory from those cars and I still have the feeling.”
Ma will line up alongside SLE regulars Tom Chilton, Mehdi Bennani and John Filippi.
