The TCR Middle East series calendar for 2018 has been revealed, featuring an increase to four events starting in Dubai in January and ending in Bahrain in late February.
The series began in 2017 when it took place over three weekends in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Bahrain. The 2018 calendar features the same circuits, albeit with the Bahrain International Circuit being visited twice in February.
The series is once again being pitched at European teams and drivers, giving them the opportunity to compete during the otherwise dormant winter months.
Whilst the sporting regulations closely mirror those of the TCR International Series, the main difference is that two drivers are allowed to share the driving duties during the weekend.
Josh Files took his second TCR title by winning the inaugural season earlier in 2017, despite only contesting the final two events. Grid sizes proved to be limited in the first season, and organisers will be hoping for an increase on the five cars which took part in the finale of the 2017 season.
