Switzerland-based Vuković Motorsport have revealed further information about the forthcoming Renault Mégane TCR, which the company is building in time for the 2018 season.
It was announced last month that Vuković Motorsport had secured the support of Renault Sport to build the cars to TCR regulations, introducing the French brand to top-level touring car racing for the first time since 1999.
The car has been optimised to enhance the ‘excellent qualities of the production model for racing car use’ and will feature a standard suspension layout.
The front of the car features an optimised air intake for the engine, with work carried out at the rear of the car in order to reduce drag.
The company has also revealed details of important partners in the new project, including the provision of all electronics in the car by BOSCH Motorsport.
The car will feature a performance gearbox from French high-performance transmission specialists 3 MO, whilst KW Suspensions will provide dedicated development for the shock absorbers.
The car will feature a 1.8-litre engine developed by Lehmann Motorentechnik, with a “specific development that will benefit from extensive turbo charger experience Lehmann Motorentechnik has developed over the years”.
In order to provide customers with further information, a new website at www.vukovic-motorsport.com has been launched.
