The V-Action Racing Team will enter two Alfa Romeo Giulietta cars in the season finale of the ADAC TCR Germany Series at Hockenheim this weekend, with Cosimo Barberini and Luigi Ferrara to get behind the wheel.
The news will bring the total number of brands represented on the TCR Germany grid to six, with the first appearance of the Italian marque this season.
The Giulietta has already won races in the TCR International Series this year with Davit Kajaia in Georgia and Dušan Borković in Bahrain and Austria.
Luigi Ferrara has previous experience of racing TCR machinery thanks to outings with the Italian Top Run outfit in their self-developed Subaru STi,
Cosimo Barberini is the current Trofeo Abarth champion and will make his TCR début in the German series this weekend.
“We want to push the Alfa Romeo to new heights – both nationally and internationally,” said Team Principal Daniele Vernuccio. “We are very proud of the development of the car, and now we want to see it in a new environment.”
Alfa Romeo cars have also appeared in the TCR Italy series during the 2017 season.
