Continuing a good run for the Audi Team Rosberg team, the third and final practice session for this weekend’s DTM event at the Moscow raceway has seen Jamie Green on top of the timing sheets.
The Britton led championship contender and fellow Audi driver Mattias Ekström by just three thousands of a second, with yesterday’s race winner René Rast in tow, who turned the third fastest lap with a 0.064 second margin to his team-mate Green.
Four-time DTM race winner Augusto Farfus placed his BMW in fifth, splitting the dominant Audis and thus displacing Nico Müller and Mike Rockenfeller to sixth and seventh.
Quickest Mercedes was the one of 2010 champion Paul Di Resta, who put in the eighth best time, closely followed by Lucas Auer and BMW’s Maxime Martin, who completed the top ten.
This weekend’s DTM schedule continues with qualifying for race two at 11:30 local time.
