The TCR Technical Department has made a revision to the Balance of Performance [BoP] for all models of cars ahead of this weekend’s races at Oschersleben, in order to put less wear on brakes and tyres.
The running weight for all cars has been reduced by either 10 or 20 kg. It is the first time that a universal change has been applied to all models of cars competing to TCR specifications.
Those cars receiving a 20 kg weight break include the Alfa Romeo Giulietta (1,265 kg running weight), Audi RS3 LMS (1,310 kg), KIA Cee’d TCR (1,245 kg), Subaru WRX Sti (1,245 kg), Peugeot 308 (1,165 kg), Volkswagen Golf GTi (1,265 kg) and SEAT León (1,275 kg).
The cars receiving a 10 kg weight break are the Honda Civic (1,315 kg), Opel Astra (1,295 kg) and the SEAT León DSG (1,230 kg).
An additional change will see the ride height of the Audi RS3 LMS DSG and the SEAT León DSG reduced to 60 mm.
