Dutch racer Danny Kroes will enter next weekend’s round of the TCR International Series at Oschersleben at the wheel of a SEAT León run by Ferry Monster Autosport.
The 17-year-old has recently been competing in the TCR Benelux Series with the team, where he shared a car with Pepe Oriola in the races at Circuit Park Zandvoort last month.
The entry also marks the return of Ferry Monster Autosport to TCR International for the first time since Spa-Francorchamps in 2016, where the team entered a brace of SEAT cars.
“I’m really happy to be able to drive in Oschersleben,” said Kroes. “I am grateful for this opportunity, because it allows me to compete against the best TCR drivers in the world. I will try my very best to get the most out of the car and myself and to learn from competing at this top level.
“I am hoping to drive a full season in the TCR International Series next year and this is the ideal platform to show what I am capable of despite having only a few hours of experience in the SEAT León.
“It is my very first season in touring cars after racing a few races last year in Formula 4. Despite this I am sure that the team will give me the best possible car and I am confident that I can be competitive.”
Kroes is currently joint 17th in the TCR Benelux standings after only contesting the second meeting at Spa, where his best result was fourth in the qualifying race. Previously, Kroes raced in the Dutch Supercar Series.
