Tom Coronel will dovetail his commitments in the World Touring Car Championship with a full-season campaign in TCR BeNeLux in 2017, racing as the team-mate of Stéphane Lemeret.
Coronel, who is racing a Chevrolet Cruze for ROAL Motorsport in this year’s WTCC, will also race a TCR-specification Honda Civic for the Belgian Boutsen Ginion team this year.
The Dutchman is no stranger to TCR BeNeLux though, having also competed in the championship last year at Assen, as well as the season opener at Spa-Francorchamps with Bas Koeten Racing.
Coronel scored a trio of podiums during his brief appearances in the series in 2016, proving that he has the pace to challenge for the overall crown.
Also joining the Belgian team for the upcoming season is 17-year-old Belgian Benjamin Lessennes, who also took part in select races in 2016 including a win at Circuit Jules Tacheny in Mettet.
