Aust Motorsport have confirmed Robin Brezina as their first driver in the 2017 ADAC TCR Germany Series, with the 18-year-old set to race a brand new Audi RS3 LMS TCR.
The team, based near Gütersloh in Germany, are expanding from running cars in the ADAC GT Masters to include TCR for the first time in 2017.
Brezina moves up to TCR having previously raced in the ADAC Formula 4 Championship.
“Robin, as a true privateer, had a hard time in Formula 4 and was clearly struck by his potential,” said Team Principal Frank Aust.
“In his current tests and sightings, he showed his talent and we are sure to be able to realize the common potential in the ADAC TCR Germany.”
Negotiations are ongoing with potential drivers for the team’s second Audi, although it is possible the team will start the season with just one car.
The TCR Germany Series season begins on the 29th and 30th April at the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben.
