James Thompson will complete the 2016 World Touring Car Championship season with the ALL-INKL.COM Münnich Motorsport squad, driving for the team in this month’s season finale in Qatar.
The Brit has so far compete in seven of the ten rounds to-date with the private German team, only missing the events in France and Hungary when team owner René Münnich was at the wheel, and the race in Germany when Sabine Schmitz took the helm.
The former factory driver has scored a best result of sixth on two occasions for the outfit this year, in the Main Race in both Morocco and Russia.
“James has done a very good job all season,” said Team Manager Dominik Greiner. “With René not including WTCC Race of Qatar on his competitive schedule, it made perfect sense for James to continue for the final rounds.”
The Brit will be looking for a return to form of sorts in the Middle East, as he has endured a run of five races outside the top ten now.
The Race of Qatar takes place on the 24th and 25th November 2016.
