After securing a one-two finish during the first race at Silverstone, both Ashley Sutton and Josh Cook have been disqualified after a technical infringement with the rear wing alignment on their MG6 machines was discovered post-race.
The MG RCIB Insurance Racing duo scored a first top two lockout since 2014 with the result, though Speedworks’ Tom Ingram will now inherit a second career victory after the stewards decision.
Andrew Jordan will move up to second, with Rob Austin claiming a second podium of the season for Handy Motorsport after being elevated from fifth.
Crucially, both cars will retain the success ballast by virtue of their result, and will start from the very rear of the field after their disqualification.
