Team RMG’s Timo Glock has been excluded from the results from the second race of the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters (DTM) season this afternoon, as his Deutsche Post BMW M4 DTM was found to be in breach of technical specifications.
According to Article 3.7, which relates to the “dimension accuracy of the contour characteristics,” the rear cover on the car was found to be outside of the tolerance allowed, in terms of the car’s measurements.
As a result, Team MTEK’s Augusto Farfus and Team RBM’s Maxime Martin complete the podium for the second race of the day, with all other drivers now moving up a place. Mike Rockenfeller makes it two Audis in the top ten, as the 2013 champion picks up a sole point in tenth place.
In terms of the drivers’ standings, Paul Di Resta’s lead over Stuttgart stablemate Robert Wickens is now just nine points heading to Spielberg in a fortnight’s time, with Nico Müller just four points behind Audi colleague Edoardo Mortara.
