B.D. Racing Motorsport will enter a pair of SEAT León cars for Italians Diego Romanini and Carlotta Fedeli at this weekend’s Italian round of the TCR International Series at Imola.
B.D. Racing make their second foray into the TCR Series, having previously competed at the Italian round at Monza in 2015.
24-year-old Fedeli has a history of racing SEAT machinery, having built up her experience racing in the SEAT Italia Ibiza Cupra Cup in 2014, finishing sixth overall. She continued in the cup in 2015 where she improved to fifth, having stood on the podium at Imola.
In the current season the Rome racer is competing in the León Cup as a step up, where she took third overall for the team in the opening round at Adria.
Diego Romanini has previous experience in TCR, albeit with limited success. The Italian was entered into the season opener in Malaysia with a Proteam Racing Ford Focus, but teething technical issues prevented him starting either race.
He returned with the team for the event at the Red Bull Ring, but again failed to score a race finish due to ongoing issues.
Romanini previously competed in the 2006 World Touring Car Championship season with Wiechers-Sport, achieving a best result of 13th in the second season of the championship.
