Aiden Moffat is aiming to kick-start his third full Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship campaign is style with a strong set of results at this weekends Brands Hatch opener.
The Scot, who has become a mainstay of the championship in recent seasons, returns once more under the banner of Laser Tools Racing with his striking black and blue Mercedes-Benz A-Class.
Moffat secured his first career podium after a dicey encounter with triple WTCC champion Andy Priaulx at his home event at Knockhill last summer, but feels that aiming for something he has already achieved is counter productive.
“It’s hard to be content with anything less, once you’ve had a podium,” he explained.
“We can’t aim for something we’ve already achieved, we need to keep progressing. It’s going to be hard work but that’s what we’re aiming for.”
He also believes his first full winter programme will stand to benefit him as he enters a new campaign with a working knowledge of the new RML control components.
“We’ve been thrown in at the deep end a bit with not as much testing as we would ideally like, so this year we’re going to change that and hopefully hit the ground running at Brands Hatch.”
