Dušan Borković was left disappointed after the TCR International Series races in Estoril, which saw the Serbian racer leave with no points after a tumultuous weekend.
A heavy shunt in qualifying on Saturday left Borković’s B3 Racing Team with plenty of work to do to get his car ready for Sunday’s races.
Whilst the team did manage to get the SEAT León TCR car repaired, the races would yield no points for the Serb racer.
Forced to start from the back of the gird for both races as a result of his lack of a time in qualifying, Borković finished in 12th in the day’s opening race in Portugal, despite reporting oversteer problems.
Issues relating to his Saturday crash forced him to retire to the pits in race two, resulting in no points to take away from the weekend.
“I am really disappointed,” said Borković. “We worked hard to improve up to qualifying. I was fast and I showed it in FP2, but the feeling of the car and the crash in the second race were unexpected.
“I couldn’t continue the race after the crash because of the engine problems. We still don’t know why I have this much oversteer but I hope with the information from the races and the test we will be more prepared for the next racing weekend and the rest of the season.
“We have eighteen more races ahead of us. The first one is in Belgium. I love the Spa-Francorchamps circuit and am looking forward to the races there.”
