Leopard Racing earlier this week revealed the livery which will run on the Volkswagen Golf cars of defending champion Stefano Comini and team-mate Jean-Karl Vernay in the 2016 TCR International Series.
Comini took the inaugural TCR Series title in 2015 at the wheel of a SEAT León entered by Target Competition. For 2016 the Swiss racer will defend his title at the wheel of the eye-catching new Golf.
Team Principal Claudio Berro described the new colour scheme as ‘aggressive’ at the TCR Balance of Performance [BoP] tests in Valencia, saying: “We are very pleased to have received the long-awaited VW Golf TCR. The cars look aggressive and with Leopard Racing colours, they demonstrate their power.
“We look forward to try them on the track and be in Bahrain for the first race.”
The Belgian team will put its cars into action again at Magny-Cours for a final pre-season test, before shipping the cars to Bahrain.
The 2016 TCR International Series kicks off supporting the Formula One event in Bahrain on the 1-3 April 2016.
