Nika Racing has unveiled a striking black livery for the 2016 World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) season at a pre-launch event in Stockholm, together with a number of new partners.
Nika had a tumultuous 2015 campaign, only competing in five events over the course of the season as its plans to contest all 12 events fell apart during the year.
The team has now regrouped, and signed a number of new commercial deals for the 2016 season.
Amongst the new deals are partnerships with Swedish media organisation Lifestyle Publishing, which will run features on the team throughout the season, along with VVS Forum and electrical firm Elinstallatören.
“We are delighted with this addition on the sponsorship side and would like to welcome them both,” said Team Principal Nicklas Karlsson. “The preparation and planning for 2016 are in full preparation and lots of important pieces will fall into place in the coming weeks.
“2015 was a year with the worst possible development for the team. However, we have learned from this and will return to WTCC 2016 with all the pieces in place”
No news about 2016 drivers was given at the event, with an announcement expected shortly.
