Josh Cook will be the first British Touring Car Championship driver to trial RML’s 2016 components ahead of the group’s appointment as official parts supplier.
The Power Maxed Racing driver has been offered a waiver by the series administrator to try selected new parts, which will form one step of a validation process, during next weekend’s season-ending event at Brands Hatch.
Teams were informed of the arrangement last Friday (September 25) during a Teams Working Group meeting.
RML was announced as the championship’s new supplier of certain chassis, suspension and other component parts last month after winning a tender process, and will succeed current supplier GPRM from 2016.
