Aiden Moffat will take no further part in this weekend’s British Touring Car Championship meeting at Snetterton after suffering a concussion.
The Laser Tools Racing driver was on track during the championship’s second practice session earlier today (August 8) when he crashed his Mercedes A-Class at Montreal, hitting the barrier on the drivers’ side.
Moffat was subsequently checked in the medical centre, before being taken to hospital for precautionary scans.
The 18 year-old’s absence will mark the first time in his career that he has missed a race weekend, and the first time since Oulton Park 2014 that he has failed to start a race.
