Support Our Paras Racing will enter just one Infiniti Q50 in this weekend’s British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) meeting at Oulton Park, with Derek Palmer Jr taking the wheel.
Japanese manufacturer Infiniti parted ways with the team following the first three events of the season, leaving the team to continue as an independent entry.
The team originally brought in Martin Donnelly to replace original driver Richard Hawken for the third meeting of the season at Thruxton, but following their loss of manufacturer support the outfit have been unable to find the budget to fill the second seat.
The team claim to be involved in “detailed discussions with a number of drivers” regarding their second seat, but there has not been enough time to put together a deal for this weekend’s races.
Paras Racing are hoping to have a driver confirmed for the fifth meeting of the season at Croft at the end of June, and are still looking for a committed driver with whom to work for the remainder of the 2015 season and into 2016.
