Campos Racing will field two Opel Astra OPC cars for Spaniards Jordi Oriola and Oscar Nogués in the TCR International Series in Valencia, with the cars have been reworked following the previous event in China.
Nogués joins the team following the departure of Igor Skuz to WestCoast Racing earlier in the week, whilst Oriola will attempt to score his first race finish this weekend after technical issues blighted his start to the season.
Overheating issues caused series problems for the Spanish team in Malaysia, where mechanics reportedly had to use second-hand components from a local repair shop to attempt to rectify the issue.
Nogués is no stranger to tin-top racing, having won numerous races and titles in one make racing, including the 2008 SEAT León Eurocup. The 36-year-old has also made a foray into the World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) as a result of his one-make series success, racing in the series in one-off appearances between 2006 and 2008.
He has also won three national titles in Spain, securing the 2003 Renault Clio Cup and the 2006 and 2007 SEAT León Supercópa. The Spaniard then took his success to Italy, winning the Renault Clio Cup in 2011 and 2014.
