The new Infiniti Support Our Paras Racing team, which will make its British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) début in 2015, have shown the first glimpse of their livery ahead of its official unveiling at the Autosport International Show later this week.
The team officially launched last year outside London’s Guildhall in October, but will now reveal their full livery ahead of the start of the season in three months time.
The not-for-profit team, based at Mallory Park, will employ injured ex-Paratroopers for the preparation of both of their racecars, and intend to donate 100% of its profits to the Support Our Paras charity, the newly-formed official charity for The Parachute Regiment.
“The amount of work which has been going on behind the scenes is impressive,” explained Team Principal Derek Palmer Snr.
“We’re at a very advanced stage in the build programme of both car cars, and we’re grateful for all the assistance we’ve received from the engineers at GPRM in Buckingham.
“Everything is on schedule, and we’re on course to have the first car running within the deadline we set ourselves.”
The team’s two works-backed Infiniti Q50’s will be piloted by Derek Palmer Jnr and Richard Hawken who are both unknown quantities in the BTCC.
The Autosport International Show takes place at the NEC in Birmingham between the 8th and 11th January 2015.
