Campos Racing have signed William Lok to race their second TC2 SEAT for the Shanghai round of the World Touring Car Championship (WTCC), their second signing in as many days.
Lok will partner regular driver John Filippi at the second event to be held in mainland China, replacing Michael Soong in the team’s ‘guest car’.
The 40-year-old Hong Kong racer has a relatively short racing history, having started in 2010 when he competed in the Hong Kong Touring Car Challenge and the Asian GT Series.
Since 2011 Lok has been competing in the Volkswagen Scirocco R-Cup China, and has taken victory in the current season. He finished fourth overall in the 2013 championship.
Lok also competes as the Lamborghini Shanghai official driver in the manufacturer’s Super Trofeo Asia series.
