2013 FIA European Touring Car Cup winner Petr Fulín will race a TC2 SEAT León for Campos Racing in this weekends opening round of the World Touring Car Championship.
Fulín, 32, will join the team to race alongside WTCC rookie John Filippi in the race in Morocco. Fulín has been a prominent figure in European touring car racing for the past few seasons and took the overall title in the 2013 European Touring Car Cup at the wheel of a normally-aspirated BMW 320si.
Fulín took five class victories on his way to the ETCC title in 2013, defeating fellow WTCC graduate Dušan Borković on his way to the title.
The Czech racer has already announced that he will defend his ETCC title for Krenek Motorsport in 2014, thus limiting any possible future WTCC entries. He will compete against two Engstler Motorsport BMW’s and a single Honda entry from Nika Racing in the TC2 category.
