Dušan Borković experienced his first taste of a World Touring Car Championship weekend in Marrakech, with the Serb experiencing the Marrakech street circuit for the first time.
Borković is making his WTCC début at the wheel of a brand-new RML-built Chevrolet Cruze and completed ten laps of the Moroccan street circuit, ending Friday’s half-hour testing session as the 12th fastest driver and fifth fastest of the Chevrolet drivers.
“The most important thing is that I get to know the circuit and I’m getting more familiar with everything that awaits me this weekend,” admitted Borković after the test. “Everything is well for now and I am very excited to be the first Serb to be a part of a competition this prestigious.”
Borković ended up 3.393 seconds off the pace in a session dominated by Citroën. The fastest non-Citroën driver was Borković’s team-mate Hugo Valente in fourth, who posted a time 1.436 seconds faster than the Serb.
