Rob Huff is hoping that the combination of his ALL-INKL.com Münnich Motorsport SEAT Leon and the fact he is a winner at the Slovakia Ring will kick start his 2013 season.
“Not only did SEAT cars take a one-two away from last year’s opening race in Slovakia, but I also took the win in the second. So, based on last year’s form, you have to say a René Münnich-prepared SEAT Leon with me at the wheel should be a potent combination,” explains the 2012 World Touring Car Championship Champion.
Having joined the ALL-INKL.com Münnich Motorsport team for the 2013 campaign, Huff has had a tough start to the campaign at Monza and Marrakech with a best result of fifth on the streets of Marrakech to show for his efforts.
The team joined the WTCC grid for the first time in 2013 and Huff had his first test with the team at the Slovakia Ring and he hopes that it’ll be a good circuit for the team. It also marks the first circuit the team will have had prior success on as they secured a podium finish last year in the FIA GT1 World Championship.
“I’m relishing the opportunity of returning to the Slovakia Ring because I think it could be very good for my ALL-INKL.COM Münnich Motorsport team and I,” explains the 33 year old.
“We’ve learnt a lot as a team during the first two rounds of the 2013 WTCC season. We feel we’re more focused with the car and have a much better understanding of it, so I’m confident we’re in a strong position to challenge at the sharp end,” concludes Huff, who is currently ninth in the drivers’ Championship.
