Lea Wood will return to the British Touring Car Championship in 2013 running the Vauxhall Vectra under the name of Wheel Heaven/Houseman Racing.
Wood enters his second campaign with the S2000 Vauxhall Vectra having finished 14th in the Championship in 2012, securing a best result of 5th at Oulton Park.
The team has a new sponsor on board as Houseman Dry Lining comes on board for the 2013 campaign and this sees the team renamed as the Wheel Heaven Houseman Racing team.
Speaking about the announcement to BTCC.net, Wood said: “In the long run it worked out better for us to run the Vectra. It’s fantastic to have enough loyal sponsors to run again. We were only going to do it if we could do it properly – I know the car and the circuits inside out so we’re aiming to win the trophy.”
Wood and the team will be present at Media Day but will not take to the track during the public test session but plans to take to the track ahead of the 2013 season opener at Brands Hatch.
