Monza marks the start of the 2013 FIA World Touring Car Championship and for the ALL-INKL.com Munnich Motorsport team, it marks a new part of the teams’ history.
The team, who will run 2012 FIA World Touring Car Champion Rob Huff, 2012 FIA GT1 Champion Marc Basseng and team Principal Rene Munnich is three SEAT Leons’ are ready for the start of the season and are hoping for some strong results.
“This is a big new challenge for our whole team,” explains Munnich, who has brought the team over from the GT1 Series.
“We are well prepared and we had a couple of good test drives. We have with Rob Huff and Marc Basseng two drivers champions of WTCC and GT1 and a highly motivated crew that has been the team champion last year at the GT1 – we are ready!“
Huff is the lap record holder at Monza and the British driver is confident that the team can challenge at the front of the field in their SEAT Leon 1.6T while the qualifying lap record was set by a SEAT Leon with Gabriele Tarquini.
“I am certain that we can achieve that this season,” adds Huff, whose lap record stands at 1:59.000 from March last year.
Team Manager at ALL-INKL.com Munnich Motorsport, Basseng, admits that the team have still got a lot to learn but is confident heading to Italy that the package will be strong.
“Of course, we are new at the WTCC and still have to gather a lot of experience here, but we will do everything to be at the front of the field in Monza already,” Basseng said.
“Thanks to the support by SEAT Sport we have three competitive cars on start. And we hope that Rob Huff can bring us forward with his experience. “
