Adam Morgan and the Ciceley Racing outfit finished the annual British Touring Car Championship Media Day test fourth fastest at Donington Park.
Morgan heads into his second season in the BTCC while the team, Ciceley Racing head into their first with the NGTC Toyota Avensis and at the end of the four hour session, Morgan had set the fourth fastest time with 2 minutes of the test remaining. The result meant that Morgan finished the day as the fastest Avensis driver.
“I’m absolutely delighted,” explained Morgan, who secured the 2011 Ginetta GT Supercup title which brought with it the prize BTCC drive for 2012.
“This is only our first proper run in the dry, so to complete the session in fourth position is brilliant.”
The car was completed just two weeks before Media Day and Morgan hopes to carry his progress into the opening rounds of the Championship at Brands Hatch over the 30/31 March.
“I’d like to say a big thank you to the team who have worked tirelessly over the winter. We definitely think that there is a lot more to come from the car, hopefully we can carry this momentum forward to Brands Hatch next week,” concludes Morgan.
