Adam Morgan heads to Brands Hatch for the opening rounds of the 2013 British Touring Car Championship looking to give the Ciceley Racing team a strong debut in the series.
Ciceley Racing, who took Morgan to the Ginetta GT Supercup title in 2011 have secured a Toyota Avensis for the 2013 campaign and finished fourth fastest during the annual Media Day, held at Donington Park last week.
“Ciceley Racing have done a brilliant job with the preparation of the car, it feels great to drive. I just want to go out there and get some strong results for the team on its first outing in the championship,” explains Morgan, who finished the 2012 campaign 19th in the overall standings.
He will be looking for a better start to the 2013 campaign than he did for the 2012 season, as he saw his maiden BTCC race end in the barrier at Paddock Hill Bend on the opening lap.
With the return to the team which took him to 3 wins and 20 other podium finishes in 2011, Morgan hopes to unlock the full potential of the Avensis at a circuit he has been strong at during his career.
“I’m really looking forward to the BTCC season opener at Brands Hatch,” added Morgan. “It’s a circuit that I really enjoy and have proved to be quick on in the past; hopefully we can have a little more luck there this year.”
