Andrew Jordan and the Pirtek Racing team head to Croft in North Yorkshire for rounds 13, 14 and 15 of the 2012 British Touring Car Championship, looking to repeat their double podium finish from Oulton Park.
Jordan secured a brace of second place finishes in the opening two races at the Cheshire circuit, following home a works Honda in each race. He secured the Independent honours in both races as a result.
Croft is a circuit which has featured strongly in Jordan’s career to date and it was the scene of his first BTCC victory in 2010, as well as the first victory for the NGTC turbocharged engine introduced by the series.
“I got my first BTCC win at Croft and it’s a circuit I like,” said Jordan, who arrives lying fifth in the drivers’ Championship and leading the Independents’ drivers’ standings. “I think our car will be good there.”
The trip to Croft marks the half way point in the Championship and Jordan will be eager to finish the first half of the series on a high, having seen his Oulton Park weekend finish with a lot of damage to the #77 Civic.
Team-mate Jeff Smith will be looking for some solid top six finishes in the #55 Civic, while the team will look to move into the lead of the Independent teams’ Championship ahead of the seven week summer break.
