The Swiss racer, who was 11th in the first session, set a time of 1:44.927 to go fastest towards the end of the session, having traded top times with Yvan Muller and Gabriele Tarquini. Muller was second fastest, 0.199 seconds behind, with Huff third 0.271 seconds slower than Menu.
Tarquini ended the session in fourth, although the Italian had shown strong speed throughout and was fastest with five minutes to go until the Chevrolet trio went quicker.
Spaniard Pepe Oriola was fifth quickest, proving that the new SEAT1.6 engine has good form around the Moroccan street circuit. Also enjoying another strong session was Brit Tom Chilton, who was sixth fastest in his Team Aon Ford Focus.
Stefano D’Aste was seventh fastest and the top BMW driver, despite a moment half way through the session when he misjudged his braking point and kissed the escape road tyres. Franz Engstler was eighth quickest – although the German did suffer a spin near the end of the session.
James Nash and Alex MacDowall completed the top ten, ensuring that it was a strong session for the British racers. Nash’s ninth fastest time will give his Team Aon outfit comfort as it is the first time that both drivers have ended a session inside the top ten.
The session was red flagged just over half way through due to local racer Mehdi Bennani circulating the circuit very slowly. There were problems also for Aleksei Dudukalo, who completed only four laps before suffering a suspension failure on his SEAT.
Qualifying takes place at 1615 WET.
