Honda Racing star Matt Neal has suffered a broken right hand, it has emerged. Neal, 44, was taking part in a 2nd Dan classification free fighting competition when he suffered the injury.
Commenting on twitter, the former champion said: “Finished [my] grading, tattered but survived. Might have broken right hand though…” before confirming earlier today that it was broken.
Neal acquired the injury several days ago before heading to the hospital today. He has a broken right metacarpal – connecting his little finger to his wrist.
“I have to see the specialist again Friday before Knockhill. Gives me two and half weeks to rest and hope it’ll be OK,” added Neal.
