Alex MacDowall will remain with the Chevrolet team for the 2011 season after resigning for the team today. The 20 year-old, who made his debut in the series last year, will continue alongside experienced team-mate Jason Plato.
“It’s fantastic to be staying with RML for my second year in touring cars”, said MacDowall. “I can’t wait to get back behind the wheel of the Cruze and begin preparations for the new season.
“There were some amazing highlights last year and I learnt so much from RML’s Silverline Chevrolet team and from being team-mate to Jason.
“The aim for 2011 is regular podiums and, hopefully, wins too.”
MacDowall’s best finish during the 2010 season was a second-placed finish at Knockhill. He has also been included in the BRDC’s ‘Superstars’ program where he is one of 14 rising stars receiving assistance to further his career.
